Motorsports

To the right is Darren Law's wicked BMW from the Super Touring Championship at Mid Ohio 1996. Unfortunately, the Super Touring series is no longer. I guess it was kind of my fault for only going to one race in 2 years. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. I love motorsports of all types. NASCAR, Formula One, CART, IRL, SODA, HDRA, Pikes Peak, etc. etc. I have been a big fan since about 1989 when I went to a NASCAR race at Pocono. I have since been to many races, but I have lately been loosing interest in merely being a fan. I want to do much more with the sport than just sit in the infield drunk all weekend. The last race I went to was the Craftsman Supertruck race at Watkins Glen because I did a little sponsorship deal with Randy Macdonald for the race with my company Real Action Games. That was a lot of fun. Next year I hope to have the money and time to go to some racing schools. I am very interested in driving and drive my Escort agressively, but I keep within the speed limit; no one would believe that if they were to ride with me though. Anwyay, I feel I have the drive to race, but I don't know if I'm very good or if I can handle the speed, so next year I want to go find out. My current plans include setting up my 1989 Ford Escort to to some club racing in SCCA's ITB division. Learn more about the SCCA at www.scca.org

Hockey

I got into hockey in about 1992 after playing a video game. I choose the Detroit Redwings as my team since I was moving to Detroit, and I have been a big fan, and I am very happy to see them now as Stanley Cup Champions! However, when I moved from Detroit, Colorado aquired a hockey team, and I quickly became a big fan. They are now my favorite team even though I still love the Redwings, and I am thrilled they won the Stanley Cup in their first year in Colorado! Being a fan of both Colorado and Detroit is kind of ironic because the teams have developed such a big rivalry.

Road Trips, Driving, and Traveling

I have traveled a lot to many countries including France, Germany, Italy, Thailand, and I have been to many US states. I love driving on long trips. This photo is during a 1991 month long road trip somewhere in Texas or California I think.

Baseball

Of all the sports I really like, this is the only one I've ever played. I played little league when I was a kid and did very well and enjoyed it too. I stopped when I moved to Saudi, and I haven't played orgaized ball since, but I still love going out on the field and throwing and hitting. Of course, I am a Colorado Rockies fan. However, like hockey, I grew up as a Baltimore Orioles fan. So, I have to call them my second favorite.

Football

Denver Broncos; this is the year!! I have watched the Broncos since I was a little kid in Colorado. This means that I watched them loose 4 Superbowls, and I desperately want to see them win, and boy are they off to a good start this year. Also, check out the cool, new logo! That was written during the 1997 season. Who would think that I'd be updating this two years later congradulating my Broncos for winning two Superbowls in a row!

Video Games

My brother and I have a Sony Playstation, and we regularily play:

NHL 99
Madden 99
Triple Play 99
WWF Wrestling
Twisted Metal
All the below games we excel at with a Mad Catz wheel and a custom driving cage we built to hold everything in place. Rally Racing. note: after driving a few million laps on a track called Oasis in this most realistic car dynamics game, my brother and I agreed that if we had to battle the devil for our souls this would be the contest (he would be pissed when we whipped him too)

TOCA
Grand Turismo
Felony 11-79

NASCAR Racing
Formula One (wow)
Destruction Derby 2

Guitars and Music

I have always dreamed of playing guitar and I've always air guitared my favorite songs. Recently I decided that I really wanted to play. So I bought a couple of guitars to play with. I couldn't decide which one I liked better, so I bought both a Jackon PS and a BC Rich Mockingbird, and a Marshall Valvestate amp. I was afraid it may be a waste of money, but I really enjoy it so far and I'm glad I did it.. I don't know how to play much, and sometimes I look at how to play something and say "how the hell are my fingers suppose to move like that?!" Some of those chords make Twister look easy! However , I am getting pretty good at the Star Spangled Banner, aAmazing Grace, some Anthrax licks, and some cool, grungy heavy metal licks.
