A lot of new stuff. But not much older movies. No sit coms. Nice site. Rent per movie 2.99 - 4.99, download, watch for 24 hours or 30 days and file removed. Not bad, but need bigger collection. Very well organized. Nice summary of each movie. This is the best online movie rental I've seen! Search by category, etc.

Reggie's Movie Reviews

My brother, Braad, and I constantly inner twine movie quotes within our conversations. The use of movie quotes within everyday life has become a sort of challenge for us. We will compliment each other when a movie quote is used in an appropriate real-life situation. Of course, as I get older, I get stupider, so I will put my favorite quotes, tv shows and movies here.

My Favorite Movies

Here are some of my favorite movies.

National Treasure - Nicholas Cage. Great job by Cage; I'm a fan again. Funny, exciting. Great Movie! More than I expected!

Evolution: This is an every night watcher. Hilarious! David Duchovny. I was pleasently surprised by this movie. I had been wanting to see this for a while since it was in the theaters, and I finally rented it. Starring David Ducovony and Orlando Jones, I was expecting more of a slap stick alien movie, like Men In Black. However, I was pleasently surprised to see quite a good story of the rapid evolution (similar to our own) of an alien species here on Earth. Orlando Jones and the guy from American Pie made the movie hilarious especially Orlando Jones. The funniest part which had me in tears was when the little alien bug crawled inside Orlando Jones and they were trying to get it out while he is screaming:
"We may have to amputate the leg."
"What? Don't cut off my leg!"
"It's heading for the testicle."
"Take the leg! Take the leg!"

Kangaroo Jack - Great funny movie I could watch over and over

Identity - John Cusack. Great psycologicla thriller!

Polar Express - Tom Hanks Good movie. More exiting than I thought. Fantastic computer animation.

Santa Clause 1&2 - Tim Allen is hilarious!

The Core: We watched The Core last night. I knew the gist of the movie, but still, it was very well done! A Thrill ride for sure. You know those end of the movie, unplug the bomb with 0:01 seconds left drama scenes? Well, this one has like 5 or more of those during the movie! Melissa and I were squirming in anticipation and Melissa kept throwing her blanket over her head. Good flick!

National Treasure 2 Book of Secrets - I loved the first movie, but this one wasn't as good. Perhaps my expectations were too high. It was good, but not great. I love Ed Harris, who played the bad guy, but they didn't write his character very well especially right at the end when he sacrificed his life to save the heros after being super selfish even moments before; then Nicholas Cage hardly comments on Mr. Wilkerson's (Harris) bravery.

Just Married - Hilarious!

Haunted Mansion - Eddie Murphy is great.

K-Pax. It was cool movie, and it had a good message at the end. "You keep repeating the same life. Therefore, you only have one life, don't mess it up." Makes you think about your own life.

13th Ghost I reccommend it. The star is Tony Shalhoub. The acting is very good, the story keeps you interested, a touch of gore, and it scared me on an X File level; when walking up the stairs from the basement I was afraid a zombie ghost was going to chew off my leg.

Bringin Down The House - 8-27-03 with Steve Martin and Queen Latifa. Man, I was rolling! That movie was better than the promos made it up to be!

Pay It Forward - 8-27-03. Neat movie.

Nutty Professor II - It was good. The funniest part is when the hamster mounts the college dean. "The little boy said 'There goes the hampster's BITCH!'" HA! If you haven't seen it, you'll crack up on that part.

Jurassic Part III - It was so la la. No matter what they do, they cannot top the original. It was almost like a Best of Jurassic Park. The T-Rex and Raptors were the first and majority of the Dinosaurs in the movie.

Interview With a Vampire - A cool vampire movie, but still a little unrealistic. I mean if you were a vamprie who killed people on a daily basis for over 500 years, you would be on the FBI's Most Wanted List. You would live like a fugitive, not in a big ass castle. You would wear rags not fine clothes. Other than those typical vampire flaws, a pretty cool movie. Near Dark is still the best though.

An American Rhapsody - My Mom rented this movie, and my Dad and I thought we would have to suffer through a "chick flick". However, it was a very good movie about a family escaping from Hungary.

Big Trouble - This movie is friggin hilarious. Tim Allen and Dennis Farina. A whole bunch of characters all converge at the end in a hilarious adventure.

Mothman Profecies - Great freaky movie

8. City of Angels
9.

Runaway Jury - John Cucask. Thriller

Ring (the) - Melissa and watched this movie yesterday in the theater. Yesterday was the first I'd even heard of it. It started out looking like another stupid Teen Horror movie, but they built a good investigative type horror/mystery story. It was a really good movie, and it left me still developing theories as to what/why/how even the next day.

Monsters Inc. - Funny movie. Kids movies have come a long way; they are interesting for adults to watch now! John Goodman, Billy Crystal and John Ratzenburger were hilarious!

Near Dark - Only the best vampire movie starring Lance Hendrickson and Bill Paxton.

Phantasm - Classic horror movie that was a favorite of mine. I wanted to be like the boy when I was 13.

Inlaws (the) -
Alan Arkin in one of my favorite hilarious movies. "There are flames on my car!"

Stripes - Classic Bill murray comedy.

The Jack Bull - It was a pretty good movie partially directed by John Cusack. John does a damn good job playing a horse trader in Wyoming just before it became a state. Some dickhead owns most of the land is against statehood because he creates his own laws. John and the dickhead get into an argument, and the dickhead swindles John out of two horses and beats them bad and also beats up a friend of his. John is pissed and wants his horses back the way they were. He tries to sue him, but the guy owns the law, so everyone ignores him. I'll stop there. It's a great fight for justice in early America, and John Cusack does a great job. John Goodman is in the movie too. I heard online that the movie was never in the theater, which blows my mind! They can get the stupid movie where people do stupid things in a theater.... what was that called? Jackass? Crackass? Dumbass? Stupidass? Something like that. Anyway, rent it, it's a good movie.

Enemy at the Gates -Ed Harris. Braad and I saw this at a theater (this is huge news for us!) during a rain storm on a long lunch break in Lexington shortly before I moved to MA. I was expecting a cool WWII movie, but I was surprised to see it focused on the Russian/German side of the war. Excellent movie!

Deal of the Century - Chevy Chase, Gregory Hines. A hilarious movie about two arms dealers stumbling into the sale of high tech military planes. One of my favorites.

Midnight Run -Charles Grodin and Hilarious action movie.

Perfect Storm - Even though you know what is going to happen in the end and what happened on the boat is guesswork, it's a great movie.

Gotcha

Noises Off - Michael Caine, Christopher Reeve, John Ritter. Everyone I show this movie to hates it, but I think it great. It's about a play and all the drama of the actors off the stage.

Defending Your Life -Albert Brooks -Rip Torn. This is a very cool movie I have watched dozens of times. It offers a unique suggestion for the afterlife.

Matrix (the) -Keanu Reeves. Good, unique movie.

Final Approach -Hector Elizondo. Cool movie about a SR-71 pilot who is struggling with the concept of his own death.

Final Option -This is a cool movie about Britain's kick ass SAS terrorism response unit.

Final Destination -I was surprised that I liked this movie since I don't really go for teen movies, but this has a cool supernatural twist.

Fire in the Sky

Spies Like Us -Chevy Chase and Dan Akroyd

Blues Brothers -Dan Akroyd and John Belushi

Mr. Destiny -James Belushi

Traces of Red -James Belushi

Private Resort -Johnny Depp and Rob Morrow (the guy from Northern Exposure) are a couple kids looking for a good time. Hector Elizondio is the funny bad guy. This was always one of my favorite hilarious movies even though I usually don't go for the teen party movies. It was later that I found out that the actors went onto somewhat stardom. I remember watching Northern Exposure once and going "That guy looks really familiar..." Sure enough, he was the Private Resort kid.

H.O.T.S. -

Hooper

Smokey and the Bandit

Miss Congeniality -Sandra Bullock

Groundhog Day -Bill Murray

Scrooged -Bill Murray

Delerious -John Candy

Summer Rental -John Candy

Freejack -Emilio Estevez -Mick Jagger. "Mick Jagger in a movie?" I thought. He was really good though. I quite liked this movie; it was a really unique idea of people in the future snatching bodies from the past that are in good shape.

Always -Richard Dreyfuss -Helen Hunt -John Goodman. This was one of the best romance movies ever. Dreyfuss is a ghost for a good part of the movie after dying in a fiery plane crash.

Best Defense -Dudley Moore Eddie Murphy

Mom and Dad Save the World
John Lovitz, Teri Garr, Jeffery Jones. This is the most hilarious movie that is filled with great quotes from John Lovitz, the arrogant ruler of the stupid planet Spango. A domestic couple gets sucked through space in the station wagon and become heros on the stupid planet.

Overboard
Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn. My favorite romantic movie of all time. Love emerges out of two drastically different personalties.

The Thing
Kurt Russell. An every night movie for me for a while; definately a favorite, and one of the rare horror movies I could watch everyday.

First Blood
This was like a more professional version of one of my favorite movies, Ruckus. Sylvester Stalone was great as the "Don't fuck with me" kind of guy.

Wargames
Matthew Broderick. This was one of my favorite movies. A classic cold war, nuclear war movie.

Exterminator
One of my favorite revenge movies of all time.

Forever Young
Mel Gibson in a great time travel movie.

Strange Brew
Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas at their best. One of my favorite comedies of all time.

Baby's Day Out
The most hilarious stupid criminal movie you will ever see. Brian Haley is great as one of the stupid bad guys.

Mr. Frost
Jeff Goldblum is the devil. This is a cool, freaky movie where Jeff Goldblum is Mr. Frost who claims to be the devil.

Safari 3000
David Carradine.

Silver Streak
Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder's best

Stir Crazy
Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder are hilarious.

Firewalker
Chuck Norris and Louis Gosset Jr.

Split Second
Rutger Hauer. A comical thriller about a monster only Hauer can see.

Rocketman - Harland Williams in one of the funniest movies I have seen, and definately a movie to watch over and over. The best part is when he is in astronaut training. (added 9-11-02)

Bullworth - Warren Beaty. This is the first movie I've ever seen with Warren Beaty, and I wasn't expecting much. But, it was a hilarious and touching movie. It was about a politician that was sick of all the lying and wanted to get more in touch with the people he represented.

Enemy Mine - Dennis Quaid and Louis Gossett Jr. Cool movie about a human and alien sorting out their differences to survive. (added 9-07-02)

Better Off Dead - This is a hilarious movie with John Cusak as a teen who is very unsuccessful at killing himself. He has a kick ass Camaro in this movie too! (added 9-01-02)

American Werewolf in London - A classic comedy / horror / drama (added 8-29-02)

Bugsy Malone: Scott Baio. I was hooked on this movie when I lived in Saudi in 1980 along with most of my friends. A gangster movie using all children and Splurge guns that shoot pies instead of machine guns. (added 8-26-02)

Traxx - This was one of my favorite movies in the 1980s. It featured Shadow Stevens, who at the time was a popular DJ. He was a mercenary, but he really wanted to bake cookies. A super funny mercenary type movie. (added 8-26-02)

Thunderbolt and Lightfoot (added 08-20-02) - Clint Eastwood and Jeff Bridges in one of my all time favorite movies that I have watched way too many times.

Ruckus (added 07-26-02) - Dirk Benedict (the first First Blood)

Ice Pirates (added 07-26-02) - Hilarious. Definately one of my favorite movies ever. I am still waiting for Ice Pirates 2.

Seven (added 04-04-02) - No, this is not the 1995 release with Brad Pitt. This was one of the coolest movies I have ever seen that has just vanished. I saw this in when I lived in Saudi in 1980. A rich jewel thief has a rare jewel in a fortress. He creates a contest with seven of the best jewel thiefs to see if they can steal it from him. I have searched high and low for this movie, but I can't find it anywhere; I would love to watch it again. If anyone has any info on this movie, please email me.

Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein (added 03-25-02) A classic hilarious movie.

Private Eyes (added 03-25-02) One of the funniest movies ever. Tim Conway and Don Knotts at their finest.

The Last Starfighter (added 03-25-02) I saw this movie in the theater when I was about 14; that's how old I am! One of my favorite movies of all time.

Flashpoint (added 03-25-02)- Treat Williams and Kris Kristopherson. This an awesome movie about two border patrol agents uncovering a massive government coverup.

The Grand Tour (added 03-25-02)- Jeff Daniels Arianna Richards in a very unique movie about time travelers that are so bored with their own lives, they travel back in time to witness historic catastrophies. The best part is Jeff Daniels going back in time and talking to himself: hints of Dumber and Dumber humour.

The Arrival (added 3-24-02) A great alien movie with Charlie Sheen. This is a movie I took a chance on and bought, and it was well worth it.

Rat Race (added 3-20-02) Jon Lovitz is a riot in this recreation of It's a Mad Mad Mad World. It's good for some laughs, but I guess I was expecting too much because I thought it was a little lacking and the ending is sappy.

Mr. North (added 3-20-02) A great Jeff Goldblum movie where he plays the Devil. Very freaky.

Vibes (added 3-20-02) A great Jeff Goldblum movie with Cindi Lauper where they are psychics.

Shooting Elizabeth (added 3-20-02) A great Jeff Goldblum movie where everyone thinks he killed his wife.

Ice Age (added 3-20-02) I just saw this this weekend, and its hilarious. The Sluth named Sid is a riot.

Frequency (added 3-20-02). This is a cool movie about a father and son talking through the radio through time with Dennis Quaid. Very cool; one of the most creative storylines I have seen in a long time.

Young Frankenstein (added 3-20-02).

2-11-02: The Count of Monte Cristo. Melissa and I watched this movie in a theater. She had to talk me into it because I wanted to see Mothman Prophecies. But, I'm glad she talked me into it. This was a great movie, and a revenge lover's classic. It is like a dream revenge as the star, a common fisherman, is betrayed by his best frien and sent to prison where he learns sword fighting and book smarts. After some 16 years, everyone thinks he is dead, and he escapes from prison with a treasure map. He becomes the self created Count of Monte Cristo and begins the ultimate revnge plot. It is a cool movie and includes plenty romance, action and humour. I will definately watch this one again.

2-11-02: Oscar. A comedy with Sylvester Stalone? YES. This movie is hilarious and similar to a play; one of Sly's best roles in my opinion.

2-11-02: We're Talking Serious Money A saw this movie a few years ago by accident on HBO. This movie is hilarious. Dennis Farina and Leo Rossi play two amatuer cons who are being chased by the mob. My favorite quote from this movie is "There were other careers on the list!".

2-11-02: Cast Away Melissa and I saw this movie in the theater when it was new, and we recently re-watched it. It's official now, Tom Hanks is one of my favorite actors of all time. Now, Robert Zemeckis is one of my favorite directors. What a great job he did directing this movie. Who would have thought the movie concept of a guy getting stranded on an island would have been such a great movie; it's been done hundreds of times. But, he directed this movie in such a way to make it seem different, more realistic. I love the drama built when Tom Hanks was trying to start a fire, and the need for social interaction. The movie focuses a great deal on little things like this that we take for granted. Also, the ending is so realistic, not the sappy happy ending you might predict.

2-11-02: Dutch Another favorite director of mine is John Hughes who made Dutch, one of my favorite movies. Ed Oneil plays the poor guy that has to deliver his girlfriend's bratty son for Thanksgiving.

2-11-02: Survivors

2-11-02: Men of Honor

2-11-02: Return of the Living Dead

2-11-02: Easy Money

2-11-02: Red Dawn

2-11-02: Fat Man and Little Boy

2-11-02: The Untouchables Kevin Costner in a cool gangster movie. This movie was completely different than what I expected, and since I don't really like gangster movies, I was surprised I liked this movie so much.

High Risk (added 2-11-02) This has been one of my favorite movies for years. It is a unique tale of a motley group of four average guys that go to South America to rob a drug dealer.

2-11-02: Capricorn One

2-11-02: The Hidden

7-4-00: The Green Mile. What a wonderful movie! Tom Hanks is a great actor. Best movie I've seen all year. Also, I watched Bicentenial Man with Robin Williams. Robin gets my vote for the best drama actor ever. That movie made me want to cry; it's happy and sad all at the same time.

Liar Liar
Field of Dreams
League of Their Own
Major League 1 and 2

Robert Redford. I have never been a Redford fan, but I watched this movie by chance when I was deathly ill from food posioning in a hotel room. I was surprised that I really liked the movie. It has become one of my favorites.

Dave - Kevin Kline and Sigourney Weaver are great as Kline plays President. A favorite of mine.

My Fellow Americans -James Garner and Jack Lemon are hilarious ex presidents that hate each other, but have to team up when someone tries to kill them.

Fletch - I have way too many quotes from this classic Chevy Chase movie.
Dracula Dead and Loving it - One of the funniest Leslie Neilson movies!

Grumpier Old Men

Weekend at Bernie's I and II. I forgot about this movie until seeing it again recently. "What a twisted concept for a comedy." I thought as I laughed hysterically. I mean, two guys carrying around a dead guy the whole movie would sound morbid, but it is so hilarious; sometimes I was wondering if it was mentally stable for me to be laughing at it. Definately two of my favorite movies.
