Biography
I was born in Silver Spring, Maryland in 1968. I moved to Ft. Collins, Colorado in
about 1972. I loved it in Colorado, and it's my favortie place of all time until this day.

In 1979 we moved to Riyahd, Saudi Arabia. That was weird, and it drastically altered
the way I was growing up. However, I'm glad I went because I got the rare chance to
grow up around people from all over the world in an international school. As an example of how life changingg living in Saudo Arabia was, here are two photos of me. The first (left) , church boy, short haired, goober looking photo is me in 1981 when we first went to Riyadh. The second photo (right) is in 1982 after only a year in Saudi. Note the much cooler, long hair, and the much cooler attempt at not smiling.
In 1982 my long awaited day to leave Saudi finally came, and I looked forward to
never seeing sand again and getting back to my home and friends in Colorado.
However, my dad took a new job in Washington, DC. Oh, I really hated getting stuck
there, but I have a lot of great times to look back on. As I grew up, my family structure
changed a lot. My brother and mom moved to Morehead, KY, my sister got married
and moved to Florida, and my dad took a job in Rome, Italy. I stayed there at my job
at H&K until I finally realized I needed to return to school.
In 1990 I finally left the DC area and moved to Morehead, KY to attend Morehead
State University. I was very determined to be an engineer for Ford and move to
Michigan. I did very well in Morehead graduating with a 3.6GPA with my AS degree.
Not really a god, but pretty dang good for a guy that dropped out of high school.
In 1993 I then follwed my dream of going to work for Ford. I transferred to the
University of Michigan Dearborn. I lived there for 2 years and did terrible in school,
and I saw all my hopes and dreams crushed before my very eyes. It was probably just
a lack of trying, and I hold nothing against the Detroit area; I still love the Red Wings
and Ted Nugent's Whiplash Bash. I finally gave up at UM after racking up some
incredible student loans and horrible grades.
In 1995 I transferred to the University of Kentucky. Now, I'm still a displaced
Coloradian and don't care much for my current home in Lexington, KY, but I am a big
fan of UK. Their curriculum is good, their prices fair, and most of their professors are
great and really enjoy being teachers. I really don't care about their sports programs
since there are too many crazy fans around here anyway, most of which haven't even
been to the school.
In 1997, I finally gave up on my engineering career after working in the field
including Chrysler, Dunnage Engineering, Toyota, and Batten Engineering. I
FINALLY realized that I really hated that type of work. So, I moved into business, which I truely enjoy. I have applied things I've learned already, even though I
have about one semester left, by starting my own business with a lot of help of my
racing fan friends (for the design), and my parents and realtives for the money.
With help from my brother especially and other friends we designed a racing board
game to play with back in 1989 or so when I became a big race fan and followed Alan
Kulwicki from nothing to the top with the Winston Cup Chamionship in 1992 and to crying
sorrow when he died the next year.
I was a fat boy in DC, started working
two jobs and lost a ton of weight. After returning to school,
the weight slowly returned. I now look back at photos of myself
from 1990 and wish I still looked the same. However, I have lately
been very focussed on doing the best I can for my body, mind,
and career; I had a few slow, unproductive, sorrowful years there
while realizing my engineering dream was not as great as I had
thought it would be. Take a look at the Photos
of Me page to see the differences in me over the years.
